Data Deletion Instructions

Jarbris respects users' rights to request the deletion of their Personal Data.
This page explains how to request deletion of Personal Data processed by Jarbris.
1. How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your Personal Data, send a request to privacy@jarbris.com.
Where possible, include:
- full name;
- email address used;
- the store or Jarbris service with which you interacted;
- the channel used, such as website, email, Instagram or Messenger;
- any additional information reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
Jarbris may request additional information to verify the identity of the requester and prevent unauthorized deletion requests.
2. Data Processed on Behalf of a Merchant
When Jarbris Processes Personal Data on behalf of a Shopify merchant, the merchant is the Data Controller and Jarbris acts as the Data Processor.
In such cases, a deletion request may be submitted directly to the merchant or to Jarbris.
When Jarbris receives the request, Jarbris will cooperate with the merchant in handling it in accordance with the applicable Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and Data Protection Law.
3. Deletion of Personal Data
Once a deletion request has been verified, Jarbris will delete the Personal Data that it is authorized or required to delete.
For data associated with a Shopify store, deletion may also be carried out through Shopify's applicable privacy and deletion mechanisms.
Certain data may be retained where required by law or where necessary to:
- comply with legal or tax obligations;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- maintain security records;
- manage disputes; or
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Data retained for these purposes will not be used for purposes incompatible with the reason for which it was retained.
4. Verification
Jarbris may take reasonable steps to verify that a deletion request is made by the relevant Data Subject or an authorized person.
Verification may include sending a verification code to the email address associated with the relevant data.
5. Timing
Jarbris will process deletion requests without undue delay and within the time limits required by applicable law.
Where a request concerns Personal Data Processed on behalf of a merchant, Jarbris may need to coordinate deletion with the relevant merchant or Shopify.
